Top Ten Things I like to do when visiting a Disney Park..

I thought I'd think of topics I could talk about that are related to my personal experiences with Disney. Feel free to snag the idea and write about your Top Ten! Please leave a comment with a link so I can read yours, if you do!

My Top Ten Things I like to do when visiting a Disney Park:

1. Ride my favourite ride/s over and over.
2. Wear my favourite Disney t-shirts, coats, hoodies, ears, bags etc.
3. Take lots of photos.
4. Eat at a different location each day/night.
5. Carry my favourite plushie (either Shellie May or Pluto)
6. Find Pluto and other characters for photos and autographs.
7. Look at, and buy lots of, special park merchandise.
8. Try something in the park that I've never experienced before.
9. Send adorable postcards to friends and family.
10. Buy pins of Pluto.

And, some things I like to do in certain parks:

At Disneyland Paris:

1. Have a "picnic" in the Videopolis Theatre and watch old Mickey cartoons.
2. Watch "Animagique" and nom on food without getting caught.
3. Meet Pluto or Mickey in the morning at the hotel and have a photo/autograph.
4. Escape into "POTC" when it's cold and enjoy the smell of chlorine.
5. Visit "Disney Village" in the evening and browse the shops/eat.
6. Have an "eat in the hotel room" night where we buy food from the garage at "Santa Fe" and stay in to watch the Disney channel.
7. Explore "Adventureland" to the max and get lost in the caves.
8. Buy a lollipop and walk around the Castle.
9. Watching the parade in the afternoon.
10. Eating ice cream from the the Gibson Girl Ice cream Parlour.

At Tokyo Disney Resort:

1. BUY MERCHANDISE.
2. Eat Churros and Milk Tea Popcorn.
3. People watching.
4. Become a complete Disney Fangirl.
5. Eat at "Sailing Day" Buffet
6. Watch "Legend of Mythica"
7. Stalk Pluto.
8. Make special, personalised merchandise.
9. Walk around DisneySea at night and enjoy the views.
10. Ride Journey to the Centre of the Earth.

A RECENT ADDITION TO MY DISNEY CHRISTMAS WISH LIST!

Well Christmas is slowly but steadily approaching us and the days are getting darker and chillier... It's always this initial onset of wintery-ness that gets me thinking of my Christmas Wish List. I know, sounds a bit naughty, but I like to plan ahead and my family/partner always ask me what I'd like.. rather than buying me toiletries/giving gift certificates... so it's become more of a necessity than anything.

I was browsing the official TDS Duffy site last night and came across the Duffy and Shellie May (Disney Bears) Christmas Goods and instantly fell in love with the Shellie May Winter Costume..

My "Standard Series" Shellie May is still quite naked and, on top of this, I'm actually taking her to Disneyland Resort Paris with me in January for the first time (seeing as Duffy will be making his appearance there as a Meet and Greet!) and I thought, "She needs an outfit!" And, lo and behold, they're releasing this adorable set in November. It's pretty kawaii and is perfect for my Winter Trip to the Magic Kingdom!

Now, I just need to find a TDR Shopping Service that doesn't charge me the Earth.. Hmmm.. That could be an issue!

TOKYO DISNEY SEA'S 10TH ANNIVERSARY "BE MAGICAL" - Let's take a look at the Official site!

A new kind of magic has begun!

I'm continuing my previous post about TDS' 10th Anniversary "Be Magical" that has been going on since April 28th 2011. However, the 4th of September was TDS' official birthday and the park is now celebrating ten magical years with a brand new concept, "Be Magical!"

In my previous post, I discussed briefly what the event entails but I mainly provided links to other blogs and sites that covered the event. Today I am going to take a look at the official site for the event and discuss some of the features that will be a big part of "Be Magical!"

TOKYO DISNEY SEA'S 10TH ANNIVERSARY EVENT "Be Magical!" ROUND-UP OF LINKS AND NEWS

I'm ridiculously slow at updating lately. I've just graduated from University and now I'm working full time so I haven't really gotten used to it properly just yet. I'm also looking at teaching positions in Japan and Hong Kong, so fingers crossed, eh?

I'm still trying to balance work and pleasure but it seems, for the moment, that work will be winning!Nonetheless, I'm going to talk a little about TDS's 10th Anniversary Event "Be Magical" and provide a few links to interesting sites and blog coverage.

Tokyo Disney Sea's 10th Anniversary "Be Magical" started just over a week or so ago, on the 4th of September. Technically, the event kicked off back in April with the opening of "Fantasmic" but I like to think of it as being September 4th as this was the date TDS opened back in 2001. The event looks to be pretty amazing, with all the usual TDR touches; new shows, new merchandise, new food etc. The event will span all the way until March 2012, too! So if you're planning a trip to Tokyo in the near future, please consider a visit to TDS to check the event out!

I've been looking at the official site for info on the event, but sadly they are yet to put up any info about the event in English. It saddens me quite because people who don't speak Japanese won't be able to find out about all the fab things the resort has to offer! But, luckily, there are some fabulous blogs on the web to go to in order to find out what is happening at TDS this year!

Disneyandmore have written a bit about the event and have provided some interesting videos.
Laughingplace have written about the event and have detailed the schedule for the coming year.
DreamSweetsLove of Sharemickey has written a report about the event and shared some photos. UPDATE: She has also recently posted some awesome videos and talked a bit about what the event's show entails!

Sadly, I'm no longer in the position to be able to experience the wonderful yearly events of TDR in person. However, DreamSweetsLove, a young American Disney Gal, is living the dream and her mini-blog is packed with cute videos and photos of TDR and life in the surrounding area.

I'm still slaving away on my thesis, but by the end of the week it'll all be done and dusted and I can finally start posting on here again!
